What the hell is a banger?

So, we've covered the basics. Now to detail some of the harder to grasp ideas. (Any little ghetto kid ever ask you if you were a 'banger?' I can't decide if that's a derogitory term or not...) Where was I? Oh, right, confusing stuff. For instance: Punk. What is punk? Am I a punk? How does one become punk? The answer is confusing, to say the least; a feircely anti-hipocritical, ignorance hating and uncompromising lyfestyle filled with contradictions, false premises and compromises. Yep, that about summs it up. Alow me to expound...
I once read something on the internet about someone who was trying to understand punk. It was somewhat comical, and somewhat true. There was a dialog between two people that went something like this:
Person one: "What is punk?" (second person kicks over a trash can)
Person two: "That's punk." (first person kicks over another trash can)
             Person one: "That's punk?"
             Person two: "No, that's trendy."
I like to define punk somewhat differently, however. Punk is not music. Punk is not style. Punk is not rebellion. Punk is being yourself. Punk, as I see it, is doing whatever the hell you want, without caring what other people may think of you. If that steps outside the bounds of normal society, (or in some cases of law), so be it. However it doesn't need to in order to be punk. In my mind, if person one had kicked over that trash can because they wanted to imitate person two, then no, they are not punk, or at least that was not a punkish thing to do. However, if they kicked over the trash can because they wanted to, without regard to anyone elses' oppinions of what is "cool" and what is not, then yes, they are most definatly punk. This is not to say that other people's feelings should be ignored in order to be punk, or even their oppinions, it is only to say that those oppinions should never be the primary or only reason that someone does something. In the simplest terms, punk is whatever you want it to be. Punk is being real.

That being said, I just realised that since I hold the phone between my right shoulder and my ear for such extended periods of time, it is painfull to bend my neck too far to the left. How depressing is that?
